Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy practice that originated in early 20th-century Japan and has since spread worldwide as a complementary relaxation technique. Despite how widely it’s practiced, it remains one of the most misunderstood terms in modern wellness — alternately treated as a miracle cure or dismissed outright, when the reality sits calmly in between.

What It Actually Involves

A Reiki session is quiet and unhurried. You remain fully clothed, seated or lying comfortably, while a practitioner uses light touch or near-body hand positioning across a series of points on the body. Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes, and require nothing active from you beyond lying still and breathing.

Common Misunderstandings

Reiki is not a medical treatment and doesn’t diagnose, cure, or replace clinical care of any kind — any responsible practitioner will say this plainly. It also doesn’t require belief or a particular spiritual outlook to be a genuinely restful, calming experience; skepticism doesn’t disqualify you from trying it.

How KapilVayu Approaches It

Reiki here is offered strictly as a complementary relaxation practice — a dedicated hour of stillness with a specific, gentle structure, alongside whatever medical or psychological care you may already be receiving, never instead of it.

To experience it directly, Reiki Healing Session is the corresponding one-to-one service.
